ladies only

today my good friend soundmangroupie had a ladies only cocktail party @ her casita. her requirements from me were to bring some lp's, my cocktail shaker (i forgot), my headphones and a bottle of vodka. she provided food galore, friends and later in the day... the lakers.

what a great idea on a sunday afternoon! we took turns being dj for the day while we sipped our cocktails and nibbled on snacks. these records caught my eye and thought they'd catch yours too...

yet another weekend has come and almost gone. fall is deeply upon long beach. cooler weather, football- my OREGON DUCKS, pumpkin lattes and halloween decorations popping up. sundays are special to N and i. we like to spend them together, doing stuff around the house, catching up on a game or two, cooking and taking walks through our lovely little neighborhood.

sunday evenings come with the newest edition of 60 Minutes and our recent favorite series- Mad Men. through all the ups and downs of life, it's days like this that make me so thankful for everything and everyone i have near and dear. cheers to the week ahead and cheers to the episode ahead in 30 minutes. the Draper's house is already on my mind. what will this sunday bring....

two years ago my old roommate and i wanted to start playing bocce on sundays. picture this: champagne in one hand, bocce ball in another, sunglasses, friends, clinking of glasses. sounds good hugh? well where are the courts? found some! .park ave north of 7th st. in long beach.

two years of dreaming and STILL no reality of playing. well now i'm on the hunt for a used set of balls and i promise you here and now that i WILL play bocce in june.
